Question

Naomi, Leah, whoever...

Is foaming at the mouth and drooling a common problem after surgery? Megan is foaming and drooling like crazy...still knawing on her hands.

You need to take her in. Sounds like her throat is still too sore to swallow well, and it could be because she's developing an infection. Surgery was a week ago right? She shouldn't still be quite that sore. You need to call your ENT that did the surgery.

Callum did lots and lots of drooling post surgery, probably for about 3 weeks. He's still knawing on his fingers when he's tired but he was doing that pre surgery as well. Callum has his post surgery checkup next week, I'm going to ask about pain because he still seems to be saying oww quite often when eating.

How's Megan doing otherwise?

Hannah did this a little bit when her throat is really sore.I agree you may want to check in with your Dr.Is she eating and drinking ok? One thing that has really helped Hannah with sore throats is cloraseptic spray. It is a spray pump and comes in grape flavor. It numbs the throat.Hannah used this a lot after her T&A surgery and still uses it every time she has a cold. I would check with the Dr before you use it though, especially because she is so little. The first time it was hard to convince her to use it but now she begs for it when she does not feel good.
