Payton grunts when she pees. She loves to pee when I'm getting ready to take her diaper off and I can always tell when it is coming because she grunts everytime! I asked the pedi and he blew it off. I was concerned because of her dilated kidneys, wondering if she might have an infection (she was on antibiotics for the first 30 days of life to prevent this, but is now off them). But, that said, she doesn't seem to be in pain or anything, just grunts like she is trying to poop. So I thought maybe she was just getting confused with the sensation. Anyone else have this? LOL...sorry for the goofy thread!

Has the ped done a urinalysis to rule out a bladder infection??? little girls are prone to them.

No urine analysis done. I guess he thought that she was fine since she doesn't seem to be in pain. I was kind of annoyed that he blew it off. Maybe I'll call to ask for one....

Bethany,

I agree with Amy, I would push for tests, even if it is nothing at least you will know for sure. Lately Brock has started to Grunt to show signs of displeasure - for example when he's done eating he just starts grunting if I try to feed him more!

I always like to err on the side of caution. Angela started getting UTI's when she was 2. But she was always symtomatic. But now sometimes the only way I can tell is that she has a lot of accidents.
