Well, as you would expect, life is busy with 7 kids. Today my husband is back to work, my parents have returned home and I am trying to get life back to normal. (although there is nothing normal about having seven kids with the oldest 10).
I am really fortunate that Sienna is an easy baby. She is not yet three weeks old and last night I fed her at 9pm and she slept until 4:45am- not bad, hey! Gianna has been intensely jealous, but is starting to improve- the scratch on Sienna's forehead is healing!! I am finding it hard to put as much time into Gianna as she needs, although I guess we will get some kind of routine going. This year we have weekly early intervention and speech therapy, and fortnightly hydrotherapy. Thankfully I am still entitled to receive "in-home childcare" which means that the wonderful woman who has been coming to our home for 22hours a week for the last 2 years will continue with hours adjusted to suit our needs. Yippee! She is a wonderful woman who will sit on the floor for hours playing cars with the boys, do baths, homework, and just take over when I have to go out to appointments or soccer training etc. (all govt. funded).
As for Gianna's progress, we have had a whole summer with no colds so Gianna has been able to hear for the last 3 months and her language has come on really well. She is into constant mischief, and loves to climb which causes lots of stress. She eats everything she can find, and I have to sneak the other kids treats when she isn't watching just to keep her weight under control! Gianna loves her sister, although I am sure she DID know that Sienna was in the pram when she climbed in yesterday and SAT on Sienna's head!!
Thats life in the Moore house!! Constant and chaotic!! I don't have the time to post very much but read everyone elses posts each day while I am feeding the baby.
