Hi quick question. My 2 year old non-ds girl just fell in LOVE with Baby einstein. We had never saw it before and got a free one in the mail. Her birthday is next week and I want to get her some for it. Does anyone else watch these? If so anyone have favorites? Which brings me to another question. Do your DS kids like cartoons and such and if so when did they get inrested in TV? My son and daugher did not like TV until they were at or close to 2. Thanks for any imput.

My daughter LOVED the Baby Einstein...was the only thing she would watch. And still will not watch cartoons, and I wonder if it because of the realness of the Baby E. videos. She just turned 4 and will watch Grinch, and Cat in the Hat (the gross one), and Shrek (sort of cartoon, but not in the true sense).
For the Baby E. we liked the Baby Doolittle, Baby Bach, and Baby E. "World Animals". Were the favs. Not so much the Language one with the signing included.

Darah started watching Baby Einstein very young. She still LOVES them. Her favorites are Baby Neptune, Baby Galileo, Baby Beethoven, Mozart, and Bach. They're all good. Baby Noah is one she didn't like when she was younger, but really likes now. She doesn't enjoy Baby Monet. Her 1st birthday party was Baby Einstein. I have a really easy way to make the birthday cake...get small round pans and bake 4 cakes. Align them on a sheet like the caterpillar and frost them in the right colors. I used licorice for the antennas.

She doesn't watch a lot of tv. Partly because she's glued to the tv when it's on. I allow her 2 shows a day. She likes Dora and Blues Clues. Backyardigans has been on a couple of times and is one of her (and our) favorites.

So.....all that to say, we're Baby Einsteined out!!!

Drake has ALWAYS watched Baby E. He has Baby Beethoven, McDonald, Da Vinci, and another one, I can't remember He watches TV, likes most everything that's made for the little kids, especially Sesame Street, but his absolute FAVORITE of all is the Signing Times DVD's. He gets to "interact" with them. He tries to sign along the whole time. Your other kids will LOVE them, too.

We have a box set of Baby Einstein (18 DVDs), but have also just got into Brainy Baby. LOVE 'EM! Incredible for language. I buy them cheap online.

Here's a website if your interested:

http://www.deeveedees.com/ just type in brainy baby in the search. Our favorite so far is ABC's & English. For Lana's birthday I want to get Talking Hands, Left Brain, Right Brain.. heck I want all of them.

Lana really enjoys watching them with Nate. She loves the ABC video the most. She also loves Discovery Toys "Baby Signs".

Sam is wathching Baby Galileo right now. We have several of the Baby Einstein video series and it is the only (and I mean ONLY) thing that Sam will watch on TV and pay any attention to. If it wasn't for Baby Einstein, I'd have a much harder time getting dinner on the table every night!

Hi thanks for all your help and frienly replys. I am going to check into the other vidoes as well. My oldest loved Blues Clues and Dora and that was it nothing else he now watches everything if you leave the tv on and has no cartoon preferance he will tell you its his favorite whatever show it is just so you will leave it on though he loves the Baby McDonald we have as does my girl. My daughter wouldn't watch anything and I mean anything until I decided to take it off the shelf and see if they liked it. Now she asks for "EIEIEIO" all the time I am so glad to have your imput

I have 2 year old who just stopped watching baby E! Now she can't get over Elmo and winnie-the-pooh.

If your daughter has a area she's working on(like she mixes up a color or doesn't understand the difference between a square and rectangle) they're a great way to help her out.
The younger ones are mozart, bach, beethoven, galileo and are mostly just visual stimulation for little ones. The older ones have themes like basic words, farm animals, shapes, colors, numbers, body parts to teach but still have the aspects to keep thier attention. Sophia out grew the younger ones before she turned 1 but liked the others until about a month ago. She never liked galileo, but really liked language nursery with all the different languages.

So far Avery like baby neptune, doolittle, and Bach. She really likes certain shows, but mostly puppet shows and not cartoons (teletubbies, boo-bah, Miffy and friends). She watches veruy little though. Her big sister gets three hours max, but usually doesn't watch the full amount unless she is sick!

Keegan loves Baby Neptune, Baby Newton, and Number Nursery.... Keegan enjoys them all, but these three are ones that he will watch without taking his eyes off the T.V.... Baby Newton has great music and they are teaching colours and shapes. Keegan will move to the music as he watches it.

I used to call it baby crack Alex loved Mozart when he was really little. He then moved on to DaVinci which taught him body parts. We watch VanGogh now to work on colors. I check them out of the library.
