There is a little girl in Oklahoma named Camryn. She is 2 years old. Two weeks ago her mom took her to the doctor because her eyes were bulging and she couldn't move her neck. The doctor told her she had the flu and sent them home. One week ago her mother took her back to the doctor again because her eyes were worse, she still couldn't move her neck and she was limping. The doctor diagnosed her with strep, prescribed meds and sent her home. She spent the next week crying constantly. Her mother Amber was so frustrated because the doctors said Camryn was fine, but she couldn't get her to stop crying. Yesterday she took her to the ER and demanded tests. They did a CT scan and found multiple tumors in Camryn's body. They are behind her eyes, in her neck, her chest and her legs. She also has infection in her bones. Needless to say she is admitted now and they are going to run tests to see if these tumors are malignant. Please keep Camryn in your prayers. Pray that she gets the BEST doctors out there and that these tumors are not cancerous. Amber has two other young children at home, please keep them in your prayers as well! I will update as I hear more. Not good news . Camryn's tumors are malignant. They are all over her body. In her arms, legs, chest, brain... everywhere. They are transporting her to St. Judes, but the doctor told her he doesn't expect her to go home . OMG. I have tears welled up in my eyes for this child and her family. This is awful. That poor baby was suffering and the doctors ignored it. That doctor should be shot. My prayers are with this sweet baby and her family. I hope that St. Judes can offer all the help this family needs to make Camryn better. I will be mailing off my St. Judes check today as this is a reminder why that place is so needed in the world today. St. Judes is in Memphis... about 4 hours from me. I told my friend Heather (who's updating me) that I can go if she needs me. Amber has tons of family in Memphis so they are all there too... I don't want to add to the confusion or take time away from Amber spending with Camryn. Word of Encouragement. My friend Evelyn, has a daughter with a Terminal cancer. She's resonding to chemo and they now have hope. When she was first admitted to Egleston Children's Hospital...they told the family to come to Atlanta to say good bye!!!! She too has malignant tumors all over her body. They will love her and take really good care of her. We did not find even one person that was a pain while we were there with Carson. Everyone there just loves the children.
