Yes, it is now 10.40pm Oz time and in 6 hours we leave home yet again for the trek to Sydney Children's Hospital for Talitha's AVSD surgery (booked for 23rd March). She has not vomited blood since the day she was due to have surgery last time so all looks well. I have obsessively checked her temperature and scanned her for any signs of illness over the last week or so in fear that she would get sick and it would be delayed again. All looks well. Now we just have to get through all the other possible delays of available beds, emergencies coming in, scheduling and those mysterious hospital waiting times that occur for no apparent reason. Our family and our whole church are praying that there are no more delays and that the surgery is successful and that she recovers very quickly without any complications. I am also praying for my other 3 kids who will be caring for themselves while Ben and I are in Sydney. (Ben is coming home once she is in recovery) I know that you will all have us in your prayers and I thank you for that. All you people who have been there before us have been an inspiration and I really appreciate your support. Downsyn ROCKS!!! __________________

Hi all. This is Mr Karyn (Ben). Kaz asked me to post an update. She is staying in hospital (Sydney children's) with Talitha - I just got back. Talitha is still being stabilised, but is improving. Prayer for blood pressure (too low), Pulmonary hypertension (lungs - it's about 50, should be 20) and heart (currently being paced) would be appreciated. Pre and Post op pics below. Dressed for Surgery... Karyn and Talitha. Going in to surgery. In ICU 7 hours later. Another ICU pic. Karyn is muttering about absconding to an Internet cafe near the hospital later in the week to put her own update up... Thank you all for your prayers and support. Ben. __________________
