This is awesome!!!

Video's of people with Down syndrome from around the world living their lives. Talking, cooking, cleaning dishes, swimming, riding bikes, acting, etc..

I've got chills and tears of joy from watching these videos.

Check it out: (just click on the different flags to see each countries video)

Angela LOVED watching these! I especially like the ones from other coutries where people with DS have historically gotten very little services!!!! They are AWESOME!

They are all great, but I'll mention a few.

Quick Summary of some of the videos:
Russia - more athletic
Italy - It's nice and has a romantic ending
Canada - is more like a documentary (brought a few tears to my eyes)
New Zealand - is cute, living an independent life
Greece - is upbeat and uplifting

And, my girls are gonna just DIE when they get home this afternoon. They love things like this.

Vonda - It does take a while, but it's well worth the time. I haven't watched all of Vietnam yet, I have to go watch it when the kids are napping.

It's so great to hear how enthusiastic your girls are about this. I hope Nate is too.

I loved the little ones in the Vietnameese video, they were so enjoying themselves.
The Russian gymnast was brilliant, it just goes to show what our kids can achieve if they are taught a skill!

These videos are amazing, and I am glad to see that I am not the only one that came across them. It was so neat to see so many people all over the world so active and living typical lives.
