update Bayley
Update, Friday, March 24..... Hi everyone. Just wanted to give you all a
breif update on Bayley's condtion today following her sugery yesterday.
She is alright today although the surgery was more complicated than was
expected. The surgeon found that her gall bladder was unusually long and
thickened at the point where it empties into the main bile duct due to
inflammation from being so full of stones. Also, there is one stone still
in her main bile duct up in the liver. Due to this lone holdout, the surgeon
ordered that Bayley stay in the hospital overnight. She wanted to keep an
eye on this stone and see if it looks like it will pass on its own accord,
or if she will need to do an EPR to remove it (EPR is a procedure where the
surgeon accesses the bile duct through the mouth - yuck !!!). either way,
we expect that she will be released from the hospital today.
We both want to thank you for all your prayers on our behalf and ask that
you continue to pray for Bayley's speedy recovery.
