I am looking on ebay to buy Daniel some of these videos. From what I understand..there are 9 volumes. I just ran across 'baby' signing times that had 2 volumes. What am I supposed to be buying for Daniel..he's 9 months? The baby version or the regular signing times? Lisa, I haven't seen the baby ones, but we started at 9 months with the regular ones, in number order. You might want to check your local library and interlibrary loan to see if you could get both the baby and the regular ones out to compare and judge for yourself before paying the money. I would also register on the signing time website because I frequently get emails from them about special discounts on the tapes. Right now they are having a special on volumes 1-14 for about $250. (but I wouldn't buy the whole thing until you are SURE he will like them). We just bought the first three, played them until they were wiped out and then bought the next 3. I recommend the older ones... the baby ones are great for babies, BUT the older ones are designed for ages 0-5, so they'll last longer... they're expensive, so the longer you can use them the better. AND Elayna will love them too. Kassidy and Kameron know every sign off the first 2 DVDs and they love to watch them. We bought all 9 but have only opened the first two. We bought the 9 DVD set plus 3 musical cd's with all of the songs from the DVD's for $150.00 just after Christmas. My older kids have learned the signs in no time. Hey, Lisa. I was just about to return two of the older volumes (3&4) to Children's Hospital Boston. They recently purchased them for their lending library, and we received them to preview. Is Daniel seen at a local clinic? I would try to contact them first, if he does. I will hold on to the volumes I have until next weekend, and you can take a look. Lisa, I just peeked... On RI's PBS station (which is ch. 9 here) Signing Times airs on 3/28 at 3pm (Family, Fun, and Feelings) and on 4/4 at 2pm (ABC's). It sounds like the 3/28 episode is exactly what I have on Vol. 4. My opinion...SAVE your $$, and tune in to PBS! Honestly...Sarah watched, signed, and lost interest in these pretty quickly. I have to look again to see if our cable carries these stations. We have digital cable and you can search by name...and I tried a few weeks ago to find them..but nothing came up. I know our digital tv guide only have a weeks worth of shows...so maybe I just checked when no shows were on that week. I'm going to check again...because we can save them and just keep watching them instead of buying. we bought the whole set on eBay for a reasonable price.....also included the CDs.
