Hi Debbie it's nice to meet you. Your little boy is adorable! I am 34 and Married to my high school sweetheart, Paul. I have two children, Hannah is almost seven(DS) and my son Logan is almost three. I had an ectopic pregnancy in between my two kids so I was very lucky to have my son with no problems after that.We did not know before birth that Hannah had DS. I had seven ultrasounds(I had an poly hydraminos-an excessive amount of amniotic fluid)and triple screen blood test and it was not detected. The ultrasounds did pick up the AV Canal defect on Katarina but not the DS. This was fun to read about everyone! Here's my "stats"... Name: April Leigh Perez Married: Yes to Pete (6 years in October, together for over 13...we were college sweethearts!). Age: 32 Number of children: One and one on the way! Name and date of birth of children: PJ (Peter Joseph, named after his daddy) born January 3, 2004 (3 1/2 weeks early) and Baby #2 due November 1, 2005 (hopefully not early!). Number of pregnancys: 2 Did you know prenatally about your babies DS? Yes, from the multiple marker blood screen done around week 20. Was it picked up in a scan? No, after my blood test I went for a Level 2 Ultrasound and was told there were no physical characteristics of ds.
