Well, I guess someone has to mention the big game tomorrow?! Daniel has his first football match tomorrow-you all thought I meant the rugby, didn't you?!-well, actually I did!!! Any one care to give an opinion on which team might win.......does anyone NOT know what I am talking about-one of the few sports us Pommies are good at!!!!
Enjoy the match, all who watch it and remember when it is all over, it IS JUST A GAME!!!!!!

Ah, my husband has been following the Rugby World Cup with great interest. He will no doubt be up early tomorrow morning, watching the game...
England and Australia? Well, to be loyal to my dh's roots, I'd say England. Hopefully nobody breaks their necks - what a brutal game!

Or, there is a BIG HOCKEY GAME tomorrow, too:
Edmonton Oilers v. Montreal Canadiens
Outside in our stadium, in -16c weather. The catch is that there is an old-timers game, with Wayne Gretzky, so everybody here is v. excited. Edmonton is a big hockey town.
My 10 year old is going with my husband, his stepdad. I think they are both nuts. They are going to freeze their butts off...

My begrudging congratulations to you and all the other poms on this board. (it seems funny just calling you poms- usually Australians feel compelled to say 'bloody poms' or even 'bloody winging poms' LOL). Still, it is about time England won something!! When is the next ashes (cricket) series?? Can't have Poms with swollen heads for too long, can we now!!!

Point taken Nicola-we are pretty bad at cricket, to say that is supposed to be our national sport (No, it is NOT football, despite what most people think!)
Daniel drew 3-3 in his first football game, and played very well. It was not much fun watching though, as it was pouring with rain-oh the joys of motherhood!!
But Yeah for England, what a good match (I thought so, anyway!)-it has only taken us 37 years to win another world cup, even if the ball is a different shape this time!!
I hope all the other matches you all mentioned went well!!
