Weight Loss

I took Ethan to baby clinic today to find he's lost weight Sad He's been quite slow to gain weight these past few months and had a little weight loss before, although that was after he just got out of hospital so was a little expected.

He's now nearing the 25th centile ( although for his height he's on the 50th centile) I'm not sure if I'm worried or not, he looks happy and healthy and doesn't look in need of a good meal Laughing I'll admit he hasn't always got the biggest of appetites, he takes 3 solids a day plus breastfeeds. His appetite and feeding has also been affected lately by his heavy congestion (lots of yukky vomits Shocked ).

I wondered if any of your little ones have had similar issues!!

We haven't, but I am sure others have - as I thought someone talked about this before.

I have that problem with Gaby my 21-month old. She is tall but gains weight so very slow. I would not worry Smile some babies are just like that, especially if he looks well Smile

Nichole is on the same boat.

Congestion, PLUS, and big PLUS, she is starting to move, move, move. Which is burning some of her baby fat.

This just happened to me! Zoe didn't gain enough in weight or height but I think it's because of my lack of milk supply ;o( Poor baby! But she never acted like she was starving! Anyway I am now supplement feeding and hopefully she'll gain, we go again just to weigh her in two weeks, he said if she hasn't gained we will begin tests?!?! Hopefully she'll gain though!
