I see that no one has posted in this part of the forum for a long time. I just got the book "A Special Kind of Hero" about actor Chris Burke, who's mostly famous for his role as Corky on ABC's "Life Goes On." He is an advocate for NDDS and such a wonderful inspiration. Just wondering if anybody else has or is currently reading this.
If you'd like to read it, you can't find it in book stores usually because it is an older book. Try the library, or if you'd like it for your collection, look online.
Just started reading it yesterday. It's very touching!

We saw Chris Burke at the NYC Buddy Walk last year, such a fantastic guy! My little girl loved his band and was dancing the whole way through!
I'm off to look on amazon for the book, thanks for the reccomendation!

I just read it a few months ago, it was pretty good. I found the begining hard to get into because the first chapter was about his parents growing up and meeting each other, but it was an important part too! Kinda neat and was neat to see all they went through as a family.
