Charlie is home!

Hello! My name is Rachel, and I have two beautiful boys! Brennan is 18 months and is a fantastic little boy. He was a preemie and spent 8 weeks in the NICU but you'd never know it by looking at him! And we just adopted Charlie, who was "Joshua(19)" on Reece's Rainbow. We are so happy he is home! He is 3.5 and only 16 lbs. He has a VSD, PDA, and PH. Poor kid. Sad He's very much like an infant - not walking, talking, still drinks bottles, etc. but we hope to help him grow and develop as best he can! He's a great snuggler Very Happy . I've been lurking about for the last few months, reading and learning from all of you, and now I finally feel like I "belong". I can't wait to get to know everyone better!

~Rachel

Congratulations and Welcome!! I am sure your new little bloke will thrive in a loving environment and with good medical care.

I wish we could adopt from overseas. All of our family have watched the kids on Reeces Rainbow but our laws don't allow adoption of children with disabilities from overseas. We are fighting for change. Not that I could adopt at the moment anyway but the desire is still there, and the hope!
