I would really like to try one of these before buying the whole kit n caboodle... Does anyone have one of the old tapes or DVDs they'd like to get rid of?

I don't have any of these to sell but just wanted to let you know that Callum loved theses DVD's. I think we had the first 3 vocab ones. I do think it helped his speech.

I have a whole stack of the tapes which I would be happy to give you except that they are in PAL format which is not compatible with the USA NTSC format. Gianna watched them over and over when she was little and i do think that they helped with her vocabulary. I could give it a go recording them from video to disk but I still do not think they would be compatible with your system.

Thanks Nicola. Your advice about the series means alot.. Gianna is a little super star in my book.. so I'll be ordering the first three dvd's i believe.

Try Ebay. I just looked them up and you can get a set of 16 dvds for like $50. WAY cheaper than the other site.

we've had the 1st 3 for a couple of years and i agree - great word voc builder. Janna used to watch these and i wondered and then suddenly one day she started saying the words according to the picture before the lady could say it. her Pre-K has borrowed these and loved them too. if you haven't already ordered, we'd be glad to send you one to borrow - then i'd have a good excuse for Joe on why we need to go to TN in Oct - to pick up the BBBee DVD Laughing

They have been great for Clara. She loves to watch them. She copies the body movements on the action words and signs when she recognizes a noun. Her EI school loaned us a vhs tape and then I ordered a bunch off ebay. For some reason, they are coming out of the Phillipines so the shipping is outrageous but they still cost less then $6 a dvd. There is an additional shipping charge for the cases. The colors and alphabet don't hold her attention yet, but there are a lot of vocabulary builders she loves. And some have an ASL option.
