Hi Ladies,
I was wondering when and if you've started to use a highchair? I am thinking that the one I have is not going to work... ;o( And my hubby already built it and we threw the box away... but our early interventionist didn't seem to thrilled about it, she said it sits a little too upright, and I'd have to agree with her!
So my next ? is what kind do you have??? Here's a link to the one I have... but Seriuosly I doubt we will be able to use it for a long time...
Next ? where do you feed your lo solids?
okay so to sum it up I have 3 ?'s
Using a highchair?
What kind do you have?
If you don't feed them there where do you feed them?
Thanks for your help ladies!!!!
here's the link

Oh I like that!!! When could she start sitting in that? Is it simlar to the bumboo?? I mean I know it's a "highchair" "Booster" but just didn't know if it's worth getting that if I already have the bumboo.. (that might be a silly question)

This is different from the bumbo in that it has straps that go right on the adult chair, so she can sit in it unattended.
She started eating solids around 6 months, and was sitting up pretty well then so it work out great for her. She's still in it. I like that the tray goes in the dishwasher (which is a must IMO no matter which one you buy if you have a dishwasher!)

when I started feeding Elias I did it on his infant seat, or on his bouncing seat, we didnt had bumbo so probably would have use that too :p
but later, but Elias was 10 months his grandma bought a wood high chair and it wasnt good for him ,
so we bought a high chair like someone posted already (but different theme) and used that for like 1 yr and half, the good thing about high chairs is that they have different highs, and can recline to dif leveles
in my parents house, we have the booster seat, and he still use its, and is wonderful because you can carry it with you everywhere

We had registered for the Evenflo Expressions ( http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3069586) before Lucy was born and/or diagnosed. She began eating solids at four months. At first we just put her in her newborn seat, but the speech therapist said that didn't sit upright enough. She explained that babies are better able to swallow the more upright they sit. So, we moved Lucy to her highchair at about 5 months with no issues. At the time we started her in it, I wished it had a five point harness, though, because she still did not have strong posture. That quickly improved, however.
For her 1st birthday, and based on the recommendations of several of her EI therapists, we did decide to get her a Tripp Trapp chair. There is a thread on this board in the "Questions" forum where I elicited some feedback from other moms who have used it. The feedback I received was very positive. The chair is SUPER expensive, but Lucy is doing really very well with it. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2593916
Edited to add links.

Peeking in on Baby World here I love this high chair. Has 3 different recline positions and 7 hieght positions. Everything comes off easily for washing. Plus it has the "slipping stopper" on the seat AND a great buckle that Brook can't get off ( I don't know what to call the plastic bar thing a ma bob on the seat btwn their legs so they can't slip out)
