Okay so this may be a silly question, but my hubby and I got in argument (not talking a big arguement just a little fun argument...) anwyay,
We were at Busch Gardens and we were talking how we couldn't wait to bring Zoe, since we're FL residents we get to come back all year for free, so we decieded we would bring her just to walk around and let her see all the sites... okay so the thing was, is that he said " And when we bring her I'm putting her in her stroller without the carseat part!!!" I was like um... no?? She is too small still and has low muscle tone and the seat in the stroller is too big???
Am I wrong? Am I being paranoid? I feel so worried about so many little things but never remember them when I'm at the computer...
Anway point is, when did or when will your babies start riding in just the stroller?
Thanks ladies, I'm sure i could've just written the ? but I was kind of venting too!

Audrey rode in the stroller when she was able to sit independently.

I didn't let Lacey ride in the stroller till she could sit by herself for atleast 10 minutes without help.. is hard for them to balance themselves till they get the hang of sitting unassisted~~

I think it just depends how far back your stroller reclines. I've been putting Brennan in our stroller since he was about 2 months old.....but it reclines to where he is almost laying horizontally. For a stroller that is upright, I would wait until the baby had good neck control.

Our stroller reclines back and we put Cameron in it now without the carseat. Not all of the time, but sometimes. Depends on if he sleeping or not or how hot it is. THe carseat seems to maintain the heat and the stroller allows for more air flow. Just my 2 cents...

We have a Graco travel system for Lucy. She hated to be in the carseat part when she was a tiny baby...so we started putting her in the stroller, nearly at a full recline, by the time she was about 2 months old. As she became stronger, we could sit it up a little more. But the time she was about 7-8 months old, she could sit in a full upright position in the stroller and we were able to use the lightweight stroller that doesn't have as much support.

Our stroller also reclines so we have been putting Patrick in the stroller since he was four months old. Of course, not upright b/c he is not ready for that yet. We went to Baltimore for the weekend and definitely it was better without it; he gets too hot in the seat. The only detail was that I had to think ahead whether we were going to be eating out at a restaurant or not because we would need the infant/car seat since he is not ready for a highchair.

I used the McClaren double stroller (umbrella-type) for Isaac before he could sit up (Will too, but he could sit up before Isaac). Isaac was a little droopy in it, but I stuffed blankets under and around him for support and tilted the seet as far back as possible. It worked fine. It made good use of the billions of receiving blankets I had.
