Hello my name is Tiffany. I have twins one boy and a girl who were born on aug 7,2008. The boy has been diagnosed with downs syndrome and complete av canal. He is scheduled to have surgery before he becomes six months old. I am a registered nurse and I am very nervous but I know that this surgery will be the best thing for him. I ask for your prayers. Thank you.

hi tiffany. CONGRATS on the twins!!! i would love to have twins! welcome as well...this is a great place and i myself am a heart mom. henry had a partial av canal repaired just a month ago and is doing amazing. there are lots of heart moms on here that have children who had complete av canal fixed and are doing well!

i also am not too far from you. i'm from the dallas area. i can't wait to get to know you and your family!

My husband and I have three children. My oldest is 16 months old his name is Evans and Elena Marie(who is my second child by one minute) and Edwin Jr. who has downs and av canal defect.

Great to have you on board. Flip, it's hard enough having twins let alone a toddler! Wow, you must be kept busy. Hope you're able to find time just to be and relax. My little boy Matt had the same heart problem as Edwin and had OHS just before he was 6mths old - and did absolutely fine. Any questions you have ... just ask!!!
