In The Guardian (UK), there is a very moving article written by a woman who terminated her pregnancy (her son had Trisomy 13) and how her life has been affected by her decision. She also discusses how much pressure expectant mothers come under to get prenatal testing and to terminate pregnancies when fetuses have disabilities.

Beautiful. I too had a test come back showing high risk of T18 and was pressured to terminate. I solidly refused and I have a beautiful healthy almost six year old. When I became pregnant with Nathaniel I knew to refuse testing. I had no reason to suspect DS but as the author says here he is worth every minute of my life and it is much easier for me to accept my baby with DS than to accept no baby at all.
