Somewhere on the website it talks about sibling classes for your daughter... I'm not sure what age it starts. I haven't gone yet, but every year I think about bringing my kids. If we don't go on tour we will go and I will take my kids. I will probably bring my husband or grandma to watch kids when there aren't classes or if they want to do something else. I wonder how many of us will bring kids and maybe they can hang out.

We worked it out by one of us staying with Mikey while the other attended a session. Then we swapped. There are lots of kids at these sessions and special sessions for siblings.

You can take the kids, but you will have to take them around from workshop to workshop or have them watched by someone else. Lots of people do take their kids though. I know that the last time I went and was speaking this little girl in the audience was bored to death and was shredding tissues to fill her time. She kept bringing me the tissue when I was presenting.

I didn't mind at all and I thought she was adorable! Since I am a mom, I know how kids can be and so it didn't bother me, but the mother was upset that she kept walking up to the podium to hand me the tissue. LOL

Not to take away from NDSC conference, but in case you all do not know, we are holding a very large conference (34 speakers in main conference) in July in Cincinnati Ohio and most of the same speakers will be at our conference. In addition, we are family oriented and we hold a kid konference for kids ages 2-12 (sibs welcome) and a Youth conference for ages 13-adult (sibs welcome) Additionally, our conference will be held at an indoor water resort (that is adjacent to the hotel) So, it is very family friendly and may be closer to some that are not out west.

For more information, I put up a post in the events section here and you can go to our site http://www.imdsa.org/Conference/conference.htm

YES! This is a Down syndrome conference and is NOT just for mosaic Down syndrome!

Yes, yes and yes. But bring help if they are not babies! Wink If you don't bring your child with DS, especially, you will regret it because everyone else brings theirs!
