Possible adoption news!

Hi everyone,

Our social worker told us that we have been linked with a little baby girl with DS that was born end of March. She was relinquished at birth, but her birth parents are still visiting her, taking her out for walks etc... She seems to be doing very well at the moment. Her Social Worker is interested in hearing more about us, and is "thrilled" that we are open to having direct contact with the birth parents, and also likes the fact that we have young children, as the birth parents have expressed a wish that she grows up with "brothers and sisters, and young parents."

Nothing is certain yet (and will not be for a long time!) as now the Social Worker needs to read our home study, if she still likes us she has to visit us and she and her manager have to choose us over who-ever else might apply, and it would be at least a couple of months before we know for sure... But it sounds very exciting so far...

If you are the praying type, please pray that if this little girl is the right one for us, that all the "professionals" involved will like us and appreciate what we can offer...

I'll make sure to keep you updated if anything happens Smile

An excited Anna
