Tumble Forms

I am looking for a used tumble forms feeder chair. I would love the chair and wedge...I dream about the tray and base.

He fits perfectly in a medium but only has 10 pounds to go to get in a large.

We need it because of his back. He has scoloisis and low muscle tone and this is the only chair he can sit in for more than 5 minutes. We borrowed one from a school to test it over the summer.
So far I have had a hard time getting a referral to get one thorugh insurance. I am not sure what they are thinking but I felt if I could just go ahead and find a used one it would be wonderful.

This is what Clara uses, a Keekaroo with the cushions. She doesn't have scoliosis, but she is still very low tone and it was amazing how much straighter she sits and how much more stable she is in this chair. It goes up to 200 pounds or so and she will not grow out of it. She's just learned how to push over a step stool and position the chair so she can climb up in it and we can't keep her out of it. We used her waiver money to buy it.

Me again - our speech therapist was here this am and said that some EI programs and therapy centers have tumbleform loaners.

Thanks! We did get one from the school system but we have to give it back with school starts. I am homeschooling him so that means we dont get to use it.

I will call around to EI!

Thanks!

Leanna, check out the special tomato that someone just posted - it's the same as the heightright, just priced more b/c it's "adaptive." If the proper positioning with the foot rest and seat give your sweetie enough support, he might be able to use that instead of a tumbleforms and continue to strengthen muscles by using them. Tumbleforms are good support, but they don't require much work from muscles that need to step up.
