Does anyone elses's kiddo get the "eye goops" without any underlying illness like cold, flu, pnumonia ect?
Gabe's comes and goes and with all the sickies.. it's hard to tell if it's related or not.. coincidentally he had them all today (not a ton, mind you.. he just hadn't had any lately which is why i wondered)

Max always had goopy eyes. He then had his tear ducts probed and that seemed to help. The eye doc said he had lots of goop in there that would of never cleared out own it's own. He still has some and does seem to get more at certain times (like when he is sick). The doctor has given me drops to use when he seems to have more goop than normal and if I have to use them a lot (which I haven't) then she wants to re-do the probing.
Good luck. I know how hard it is clean that stuff off!

Kayla always wakes up with goopy eyes (funny you posted this today, I woke up this morning and my eye was red and swollen shut from allergies, couldn't even drive my older daughter to preschool!)

Elijah's right eye is always goopy (is that a word??) anyway, apparently it is a blocked tear duct. Does not seem to bother him...he just always has eye "boogies".

Oh I hate the eye drainage! I am going to ask my Ped about the tear duct probing... Does it help? it's always in his right eye. We use some sort of floxin eye drops, but he gets it all the time!
