I too have a child with Down syndrome. Gideon is our youngest of 13. He was born on 9-11-2002 in our home and though we had been told of the possibility through an ultrasound, we too were quite surprised. What a blessing he is to our family. I have 4 married kids and 5 grandkids, Gideon is the light of our home! He is currently being treated for infantile spasms. On valproic acid and now prednisone. Hoping it works. Besides a PDA he is very healthy. Good muscle tone, he rolls over but sits up only for a short time. He didn't nurse for 7 weeks, I had to pump to keep up my milk, though he sure loves it now! We have a very relaxed attitude with all our kids. Take things in stride. Would love to hear from other moms, any info on is would be welcome. Thanks!
