| Samantha | I know how you feel. Julian's therapists keep bugging me to get Julian on table foods, but he just doesn't like the texture at all. He spits it all out. He'll eat Stage 3 baby food, which has good texture, but table food which has substantial texture he hates. You might want to try these things and see if she likes them. These are things that I have tried with Julian and he won't have anything to do with them..at least not right now.
Campbell soup with unsalted saltines crunched up in it.
soft boiled eggs
spaghettios
I'm gonna be trying Cream of Wheat for cereal. My cousin gives that to her daughter and she suggested it to me. Julian still eats baby cereal, which at any stage is still very thin in texture from what I've found.
You might just have to try different things and see if any of them she likes the taste of. Kids are picky . My niece is now 7 and she WILL NOT eat meat unless it's chicken nuggets....she lives for peanut butter toast...she has the most limited taste in food I've ever seen. At Thanksgiving they tell her the turkey is chicken to get her to eat it

Mommy of Julian 9 mos. (DS) | | HiCourt | I don't know, maybe you could try to start weaning her...
How tall is she? Because my daughter has always been small. At 2 years old she weighed about 17 lbs. I think for 2 years, she weighed 21 lbs. Even now, at 6 1/2, she oly weighs 34 lbs. Of course, you know best, but I would just try to see what happens if you cut back the breast....maybe she might figure out that she needs to eat more to quench her hunger/thirst. And ask your Ped. too. Good luck. I don't know if I helped at all but I just thought I'd share with you about Courtney's weight.
Jenn | | Angela Young | Kyley is now going on 15 months and remains an avid nurser. She has been holding about 16 lbs for around 4 months. She doesn't really like a whole lot of solids but will always nurse. When she first started on solids she appeared to enjoy a lot of different foods, would chew anything and spit out a lot. Now she really could care less about most of that. She will eat baby cereal, some fruit, minigo fresh cheese, a little toast and drinks a bit of milk from a cup but that is it. Does anyone have any more suggestions? It is getting frustrating to continue to offer veggies and our table food but to no avail.Especially when I know she is not gaining well. Do you think this is typical? My other 3 kids were weaned at this point and eating fine. |
