As you guys know, I am the co-chair of the New York City Romp for Research to benefit the Down Syndrome Research and Treatment Foundation to be held on October 3rd. I've spent the day today putting together arts and crafts for 1000 participants and starting to organize for the silent auction. First I'm inviting any of you and your families to attend the Romp--just pm me and let me know you are coming.
Secondly I'm looking for any and all donations --whether cash--or some item that can be auctioned off at the silent auction. Even small random items work--I can put them together with similar items. For instance we will probably have a movie lover's basket filled with donated DVDs and popcorn. Please, if you have anything that you would like to donate, pm me. DSRTF is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax deductible. For more info, check out www.dsrtf.org and www.rompforresearch.com. Thanks!

Mary, I can donate something....let me think about it and I'll PM you in a bit. The Romp is always the same day as our local Buddy Walk...or we'd attend.
We plan on being in NYC for the buddy walk on Sept 25th. We might spend the weekend, if so, maybe we can meet up for dinner or even some ice cream. I'll be in touch.
