im almost married for 2 years. i was 22 weeks pregnant when i got married... and i've gain lots of weight since then and also i dont look like a child anymore. when i was having my hair done , people there they thought it was my sweet 15 party. lol

It realy has been neat seeing all of your wedding photos!! Here's ours. Barry and I met in 1997 through an internet personal ad that I placed! Yes, that is true!!! Ours is a "You Got Mail" story! We married in 2000, which makes 6 years this coming Columbus Day weekend!

Ok, no LAUGHING. Remember, it was 1992 for the engagement photo and 1993 for the wedding photo. Times were very different!!! LOL....

Your wedding photo setting looks somewhat familiar. Did you have your wedding locally or am I just imagining something?! Ours was at the Lafayette House in Foxboro on route 1, across from Gillette Stadium. There was a Patriots/Indianapolis game on the very same day, so talk about traffic nightmares for us and our guests!

OMG this is the first time I've seen this post, I love it!! Everyone looks GREAT. I'll try and scan a couple of ours tonight at my parents.

Judy, we had our wedding reception at the Quonset Officers Club. The picture with the white columns is a house in East Greenwich...I can't remember the name...but we rented it out to take pictures.

Speaking of my wedding, the day I got married, my grandmother was in the hospital and was too sick to come (thankfully she recovered and lived 9 more years) but I couldn't let her miss my big day. After church but before my reception, we went to the hospital and visited my grandmother. Me and my rather large gown and headpiece walked into Rhode Island Hospital and got on the elevator and went up to see my grandmother!!! We caused quite a commotion but it was all worth it when my grandmother saw us!!

How special for your grandmother to see you on your wedding day...And, oh what a spectacle at RIH!!!!

We had patriot fans and regular post football game patrons (who regularly visit the Lafayette House) barge in on our cocktail hour AND indulge in OUR hors d'orves. We were at the Putnam Investments grounds in Franklin having our pictures taken at the time, so we weren't there to actually witness it all, but, the owner of the restaurant(who promissed us he was CLOSING for the afternoon) heard from me when we returned from our honeymoon. It wasn't pretty and I really got no where (except a $100 gift certificate) Hence, another reason to get every single detail in writing.

Lisa, I too had the big hair, with the poofy headband and the 100 lb. dress with tons of beads 1990, lol!!

We got married in July and it was one of the hottest days of the year, my maid of honor almost passed out during the service. So to hurry things along the Pastor never said "You may kiss the bride" !!

I always knew I liked you Rhonda!! You are a big hair girl after my own heart!! Love the dress and LOve the headpiece!! 90's ROCKED!!!

Okay Rhonda, You just did it, Now I am finally ready to put my pic on here. I will take a pic tomorrow, and put it on. Our hair, our dress, or head piece, you will die. I was married in 1989. I would not have to put mine on here, cuz I could say, "Just look at Rhonda's wedding, it is just like mine." You will see what I mean when I get mine on here, but you have to give me a day to figure out how. LOL.

Our wedding was 10 years ago. We had an all black wedding with red roses as the flowers and it was awesome. The motorbike is mine. Our best man, matron of honour and flower girls were also in black.

Okay, Now I hope I did this right, everyone, refrain from laughing too hard. I have to get an updated photo on here, so you can see how I look now. Little back ground. My husband's grandfather was our best man. He and his wife, my husband's grandmother, were such special people. I just adored them. May they rest in peace. Anyway, here we are. My husband looks like a little boy, but I swear, we were 23 when we got married. LOL I keep trying to get the two picture smaller, but no luck, sorry, but here you go. Rhonda, we could have had a double wedding, could our hair pieces be more similar? Oh my goodness.

Diaen I am CRACKING UP! Because you know how on sitcoms when they want to make the actors look like it was when they met(Everybody loves Rayomond comes to mind). And they are the same age but they do exageratted goofy things to them to make them just LOOK younger and style them with the times when it would have been when they met......THAT is what you adn John look like! LOL It is FUnny because you both still look pretty mucht he same!LOL The years have been KIND to you two! The dress and hair is HILARIOUS!You guys look great!-Courtney

Courtney, You are so funny. Thanks for saying time was good to us. Hmmmm...I have to think about that one.LOL As for our style being hilarious, I absolutely agree. Everyone's dress in this time frame was nearly the same. My head piece was much simpler than most. My husband's cousin, her head piece was HUGE. It was hilarious as well. My brides maids wore PINK. I loved it. LOL

Rhonda, Can you see why you putting yours on here, made me more comfortable putting mine on? LOL. Wow, 1989 sure could have used some help in the wedding styles. LOL But I loved my day!!! And yes, my train, I LOVED my train. OH my goodness.

Here's a picture of Jeff and I at our reception. It was at our local fire hall! Talk about COUNTRY!! I'll post one of the wedding party later. The maid of honor was in mauve and the bridesmaids in pink dresses!!
My dress was simple- tea length BUT it had the poofy sleeves! This was in 1991.

Okay we just celebrated our 10th anniversary. We renewed our vows and had a ceremony in Eureka springs. I'll post the pics from that later. Here's the pic from 10 years ago. P.S. there was nothing on my butt, something must have been on the scanner.

Anthony gave me away. I wanted to walk down by myself, but our minister insisted someone give me away.

Oh Karen, I love your pictures. How cool! Everyone looks lovely in their dresses. I don't think they are funny at all. Now I have to tell the story behind my dress. We really hadn't decided on a wedding, we were trying to decide if we would go to the justice of the peace when I turned 18. I was at a yard sale looking for jeans for Anthony. He was growing sooo fast I couldn't keep him in pants. Well, there was the dress. I had to try it on. I decided if it fit I would buy it. It fit perfectly. I paid $75 for it, and it had a matching veil. A week before the wedding my mother in law took the veil and washed it for me. She hung it on the line to dry and the dogs ripped it apart. She felt so bad she gave me money to buy a new veil. There was a bridal store that was going out of business. I went there and they had almost nothing left. The lady saw how upset I was and then she told me to wait. In the display window there was one left and the one I'm wearing in the picture is it. My veil ended up costing more than my dress. I turned 18 in July and was married in August.

Thought I would add mine......not as beautiful as all the others but we had a wonderful Scottish wedding with Piper and scottish dancing in a beautiful little Scottish village.
