Never tried it. But my husband uses it on animals all the time. I'll show him the info. IT STINKS!! Actually, I think i've heard or read of people using it before.. but I"m not kidding.. IT SMELLS!!
Yeah. I just read your information and it mentions the unusual smell that comes from taking DMSO. I know that he gives it for internal inflammation and it's also used for Arthritis. Big in the equine medicine.. not so much in small animal. The one use that stands out to me is to help with parvo. Its not a documented, recommended medication for this but Rusty started using it on his worst cases and they turned around. I'll have to ask him why again. He explained it one time and it went right over my head.
I'd be leery of a medication like this without more documentation. and the cost $5,500 for treatment??? Like Woah....
I don't know what the amino acids cost.. but DMSO is DIRT CHEAP!!! And I'd be careful of ANYTHING that promised to change the 'appearance' of Ds.

I agree about appearance change, I think my boys are fabulously handsome as is!
Our friend had used it for running injuries, and said you can taste it right away, and you stink to high heaven while using it. It just made me curious, since this guy is really a wealth of health info.

it's a bad idea to use it. it will do nothing for DS. Its nice for a quick pain reliever, it is toxic also in larger dosages and causes a rash, it also can cause infection if the area is not clean. I power lift and use it for quick relief of injuries. MSM is basically the same thing except it can be taken orally, you can find it in joint supplements. They are both sulfur containing chemicals and because sulfur can be toxic it should be used with caution. Oh and hence the smell (kind of smells like oysters soaked in garlic)
