I have a 10 year old with Down syndrome. Will this help now or it this something that works better for younger children?
Thanks.

Well, I'll have a 10 year old with Down Syndrome in about a month.
You are welcome here, in whatever capacity you'd like to participate. We can try to answer questions you might have, would love to know more about you and your family, and will most assuredly fawn over any pictures you'd supply. . . we'd welcome any advice you'd have for new parents, particularly with stuff that you've been through that could help them. It's up to you.
I would hope that we could help each other. Read around, and join in where you feel you'd want to. Just say 'hi' every now and again if it suits you.

We never did TNI or any of the other interventions, after consulting with a nutritionist who specializes in developmental disabilities, due to their unproven nature. That's not to say they don't work, but I'm the type that likes scientific evidence. I will say that my 5 year old is reading on a 3rd grade level without this intervention so I definitely don't think it was necessary in her case. That said, every child is different and what works for one may not work for everyone. Hopefully someone whose child has used these things will have better evidence. From what I can gather most people here use MSB rather than Nutrivene.

I'm sorry, I completely missed the section name where this was posted. I thought by "this" you meant Downsyn. Rather than delete it, I'll just admit the goof.

It certainly can't hurt. We have seen some good effect on Mikey even though he is 12.
