Potty Training -- UPDATE -- need opinions!!!

So we started potty training Miss Cass this weekend. Why does this sweet little angel have to be soooooo stubborn????? We go to the potty and sit and talk and laugh but nothing. Five minutes later, I walk into the room and she is soaked. What does she do once she sees me? She walks to the bathroom and sits on the potty. I know she knows what to do. But the battle of wills is UGH!!!

UPDATE -- We have a new little wrinkle in our potty training plans. Miss Cass has decided that while she is at daycare, she will not potty. She will and does go sit on the potty at daycare and likes to do so -- but will not potty. She holds it all day. Is this a control issue???? They have the lower toilets at daycare and we have a potty chair at home -- Could it be she doesn't like using the toilet because it is different than what we have at home??? Any opinions or advice would be great!!!! Thank you!!!!

She might not be ready. I tried and tired with Abby for about a year and then one day and I'm serious when I say it was one day she was ready and she has had hardly any accidents. She went from nothing in the potty and not caring if she went in her diaper or underwear to potty trained in a few days.

What a little stinker. Sounds like she has different ideas. Hang in there, she'll stop playing with you and do it. Very Happy

It has always been a battle with her on everything -- crawling, standing, walking, now this. She can do it, she just wants to do it when she wants to.

I blame myself for this, really. We have started and stopped potty-training a few times since last fall. The first time, I just knew she wasn't ready. The second time, I just became overwhelmed with it and gave up. She has been coming to me when she's dirty and she wants changed. She will even come to me on occasion when she's wet (if it doesn't interupt her television shows). I know she can do it -- I just need to be patient and wait out her stubborn nature. She acts like her dad!!! LOL!!!
