Just wanted to start a new thread, and toss around the idea of a late spring, early summer get together. We are trying to do a trip to Sesame Place! Originally we talked about Memorial Day weekend, and I realized I wont be able to make, Grady's mom, can not make it, and I spoke with Aprilperez and she would not be able to make it either. So my question is, how would the first weekend in June work for everyone? Stephanie is holding some hotel rooms at a Marriot nearby, she will also be able to purchase tickets at a discount, (obviously the more people we get the better chance of a group rate)! IF Memorial Day weekend would work better for everyone else, by all means dont change your plans on my account. We still intend to take the kids to Sesame Place anyway, so we could just go ourselves a different weekend! BUT I would LOVE to share it with all of you and your wonderful children!! Stephanie...any day works for me...if you guys can't make it then it would be no fun...so I am in for the 1st weekend in June I will change the weekend at the Marriott, the guy was very flexible! However, I'm going to have to do some seriously thinking about it. It's a rather long trip for us. The website said 7 hours from Ohio, but it was 7 to Hershey, so I'm guessing it's a little longer. Steph, do you think it really is 6 hours from Pittsburgh? We got to Hershey last year in 3 hours, how much further do you think it would be? If it is 6 hours, Im thinking we will leave early early on Friday morning so we get there early enough to still enjoy the day. Oh, I looked at the date.....and if you notice when my Daniel made his debut into the world (June 7th)...you should know that this particular weekend there will be the biggest party on earth to celebrate Daniels First Birthday......look at my ticker below...I'm already planning the party!! LOL...Everyone is invited....so anyone looking to come further east....just come on by and have some cake and celebrate! However, we are definitly going to Sesame this summer...so Stephanie...we will plan a date for that. I didn't want you guys to think I am antisocial since we won't be able to come. But to be honest my kids aren't into Sesame Street and it is really expensive for something they don't really like. Maybe next year we could do something like a beach Jersey or Maryland. I hope you all don't think I've been Mrs. Non-Social. I switched jobs (same company)-I'm not behind a desk for 8 hrs a day anymore (good thing) I'm on the road, so needless to say I don't get online as much as I'd like to....rambling .... anyway, What a fun idea, an East-Coast get together...unfortunately, we will be in NJ at a soccer tourney w/ friends & kids etc .... BUT I hope we do it next year again .... I would LOVE to meet everyone ... this is such a great idea and I am so sad to miss it.
