Our OT mentioned a special pair of pants that help with keeping their legs in a certain position. She doesn't know the name of them, but she said they are stretchy and sort of like tights. Does anyone know what she is talking about? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I don't know the name either, but I wanted to tell you that our PT told us to use a pair of Macy's stretchie (sp?) pants that she has and to put both legs into the same leg hole. Probably works pretty much the same, and it keeps her legs together which has helped her get her tummy stonger while rolling, and she tries to put her knees under her belly more when her legs are closer together. Not so froggy like.

I ordered them for Grace not 15 minutes ago. If it's the same thing, they're called Hiphelpers. The website is hiphelpers.com, but I don't know how to make it a link. They're like a girdle. I tried on size D and it was a little big. She's almost 9 mo. and around 15-16 lbs, wearing 6 to 9 mo clothes.

Eliza's uses the hip helpers (we call it her girdle) it is basically baby bicycle shorts sewn together at the croach. I have notice a different in her sitting with legs more together since she started using them.

Check her size. And let me know I may have a pair for you. they are great. They really helped Joni a lot. It seemed she wore them forever. I really think they are a good part of the reason she walks so well.

I've never heard of these, but what we did with Darah is the same kind of thing, but home-made.

I bought x-small women's spandex biker shorts. Cut a leg out and placed it over Darah's hips like a mini-skirt. It kept her legs together and if she wanted to get in her froggy position, she at least was having to activate some muscles to move into that position!!
