......and bought Kennedy new shoes with velcro. They are Madagascar shoes and so adorable but now she has learned to take them off and of course, then come the socks! Any advice for keeping her shoes on?????? She had shoes that tied before and was not able to get them off. I am at a loss....

Callum did this and it was a phase that lasted for about a month. He would take his shoes and socks off at every opportunity and it felt like we were constantly putting them back on him. Just look at it as a new independence skill that she wants to practice

Callum's latest pair of shoes have firefighters on them and he refuses to take them off!

Kyle does this & it is a pain when he does it in the car. I here two lumps on the floor & then go the socks. So by the time we are at school I have to put them on again. Sometimes he does it in the morning before we get out of the house. No advice but I hope they grow out of it.

Me too Michelle...Megan's shoes come off before I even get myself in the car...LOL...sometimes shoes aren't even worth it since she is not walking!

Joe always threatens duck tape although he hasn't gone through with it and I think Megan is on to his empty threats ...LOL

Good for her!! Oh, sorry, that wasn't what you wanted to hear, was it? Well, it's still good but I have no solutions.

Jaymes only has tie-on shoes, but he doesn't take them off like regular folks do. He uses the bottom of the kitchen cabinets to take them off - backs up to one of the cabinets and uses the bottom for leverage to get the back off! The rest just naturally follows.

Sorry no advice! But Lexi can get off any shoe. She can't wait to get in the car and throw them on the floor. Sounds like we are all in the same boat!

I'm at a loss here too but am willing to accept any advice. Austin refuses to wear anything on his feet. With shoes he will stiffen his feet so that I can't get them on and with his sandals he can undo the velcro in one go. Unfortunately it is always hot here so we have all been too lazy to bother with it.

Hannah did the same thing too. For her it was just a matter of growing out of it. She still does this at school when someone makes her mad, it's a control issue for her.Drives her teacher nuts!
