Lana's ST, Karen, came over yesterday and I was feeding Lana and signing more in between each bit. Well little Lana out of no where started signing it too. Karen was excited and told me to write it down as her first signing word. Ah... that's so cool!

She's been saying 'Dadda' for several months now (as if he's the one that nurses her ...).

Plus she just recently she started clapping. It's too cute!

I didn't get a pic of her signing, but here are some pics of her eating good ol'e rice and beans.

The last pic is Lana's sign for All Done...

Deborah - Tell Sean to stop holding out on you. He's got it in there. Tell him Hot Chickie said so. (that is too funny!).

Lana's not doing the "official" sign for more, it's more like an up and down clap. I wouldn't have counted it, but she did the same thing everytime for more. Karen said it's her way of saying more.

Maybe Sean has his own signs also.

Did you see the thread with all the wonderful DS World celebration posters from Germany?

I can't find it right now, but I did notice one of the girls looks like an almost mirror image of Lana-I mentioned which slide in my reply.

Ahh, here it is: http://www.downsyn.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=13410slide 87 check it out and let me know what you think.

Thanks everyone!

always_chaos - It is Lana.

McKenna - So far so good, but the incubation period is two weeks. I Lysoled and cloroxed like crazy, so hopefully that helped kill the spread of it. Poor Darah, I hope she's better!

Hooray for Lana!

If she is anything like Sammy, she signs as if she's been doing it for ages...like it's no big deal. They can be so casual about things!!

Wish I could get Sammy to eat rice, beans or anything similar. At this stage, if it isn't a stage 2 food or if it doesn't look like a Cheeto...it ain't going anywhere near his mouth!

Keep up the signing Lana!!!!

I am laughing because the same thing happened to us. We went to her first speech therapy session and the therapist said "oh she signs for more! It is kind of like a quick clap with one hand open and one hand fingertips together. I felt like an out of it mom cause I finally reliezed she had been doing it for awhile! She's probably thinking duh mom!

Good for you Lana! You and Eliza are soon on your way to having a gabfest.
