Yesterday John's PT was trying to get him to push to standing by himself. She had him sitting on a little step and was holding a toy he wanted to play with. He stood a couple times by himself, which is amazing. And then . . . he actually took a step!!! The PT and I looked at each other as if to say, "Did you just see what I just saw?!!!" I got all teary eyed. His legs are still like two spaghetti noodles but he's definitely getting stronger.

And not to be outdone, baby brother Paul with the sturdy chunky thighs took a few steps this morning. He's so strong and steady. Watching him I realize what John's PTs are trying to get John to do. I never paid attention to the physical developmental progression with my other kids.

So it's all about walking here, and then heaven help me. I have enough trouble keeping up with these two! I can't wait until I have to chase John down at the mall (and remind me that I said that when I post my vent about chasing John down at the mall!!!).

YES!! Still praying that John will be fully restored!!! Bless his heart. It's a good sign that he's recovering. By summer....he'll be running!!!

John and Paul are 2 years and 2 months apart. Paul turned one in February. Right now the two of them are in the living room sitting next to each other on the floor and John is "reading" to Paul. But if I know them, Paul will move on to something else, John will take away whatever toy Paul shows an interest in, and Paul will scream bloody murder. Fun, fun, fun!

WoW! That is such a wonderful brag - for both your boys. We'll definitely remind you when you complain about him running off, and by the sounds of it, that might not be too far away!

I just went to John's website! I didn't know all of the struggles he's had! This is even MORE exciting knowing that he is having to go through chemo!!! He is so precious...my husband and I are all about arranged marriages...is he already betrothed??? Darah sort of already has a fiance, but he is younger than her...and I know I married an older man, maybe she is going to want an older man as well!!! We have to keep our options open!!
