I wanted to let you all know how impressed we are with MSB +. We've been using this for AJ for about two weeks. All three of his EI people have remarked they see much progress for him in the last two weeks.

What I really like about the product is that I am able to mix it with some fruit juice, and AJ will drink it right down. With TNI, we really struggled getting it down him, and many times it came back up! I enjoy giving AJ MSB + because it is not as difficult for him to take as the TNI.

We're switching.

Amy,

Call the 800 number for the company and ask for samples. They will send a decent amount of each flavor free of charge, including shipping. I've been very impressed with this.

AJ's PT was absolutely amazed at the progress he made in 2 weeks' time. She said his muscle tone increased dramtically. He was sitting better and had better core strength. He also had better dexterity with his hands and was more interested in the activities!

I was really proud of him!

What flavor do you use...and how long will one bottle last. It's pricey....
Will that last a month or more? Has anyone gotten insurance to cover it?

no idea on insurance. i doubt they willl touch it. we got a free samples. they sent us the 4 flavors and i it will last me at least a month! one tiny scoop a day is all it takes for her. not sure on austins quantity. i think the fruit punch flavor or orange would be my two favorites. they seem to mix good with yogart or maysons baby cereal!! give the free sample a try and go from there!! i wish you luck amy!

Amy,

I think to get insurance to cover you would need a doctor's prescription...and even then I don't know....it's not the standard of care. I"m not saying it can't be done....I wouldn't dare say that to a woman like you!! Wink I think you can do anything you set your mind to.

We use the smallest size orange flavor. At Kayla's age (& Austin's) we use 2 scoops. Technically, that will last 48 days for around $100.

Amy, there is a place on the site that tells you the cost and how long each should last. It does not go by pounds, it goes by age. We use NVD and we have not gotten insurance to pay for it. We do however include it in our medical cost for the year. We didn't have enough to claim this year, but if you did I would certainly add that as a medical expense.

Hi I`ve been thinking on starting Kai on Nutrivene D,and now I come across this MSBPlus.
Where did you hear about this product ? the website you gave link to doesn`t give enough info , what made you decide to swap from Nutrivene D to MSBPlus ( apart from the taste).
What`s in this product ? is it anything like Nutrivene D?
Sorry for all those questions but it`s so hard to decide which product is best.
Thanks.Magdalena

i love the msb because i only have to give it to mayson once a day. its easy, she doesnt seem to notice it at all!!! she is now clapping and saying "yah" , waving bye bye, trying to pull up, mimicking sounds, etc.. just things she didnt do before she was on it. maybe its a fluke, who knows but we are sticking with it. i wish you luck!!!!!

We found out about it a number of years ago but never tried it until recently. We think Mikey has been doing much better since we started him on it. We have no trouble giving it to him. In fact, Mikey demands it in his yogurt. He likes the fruit flavor. The samples they sent us when we first called lasted more than a month. That was enough to see a big improvement in Mikey. As I said, I don't know if this is actually doing anything but we don't intend on stopping.

We have used it, and MaryEllen loves the flavor. I am a big nutrition person, except I must admit, I like a beer once in a while, tee hee. So this fits with my family really well. Do I know if it is what makes MaryEllen, MaryEllen, no. But I know, like Tom, I don't necessarily want to stop any time soon. I don't know if it is ironic or not, but when we don't give her what we call her "vities" she is not as up beat, and our therapists "complain" about her on those days. When we do, they tell us how amazing she is. Coincidence, probably, but I am a health nut any how, and I would do this even if she did not have trisomy 21. My other kids have to take their "stuff" too. All of it is fish oils etc. My mom has always been into alternatives for us for vities and such, and she was actually the one who planted the seeds of health in me, so I guess I am just passing it on. Right or wrong, I don't know, but it is who we are. My sister won't even touch anything that is not from her own garden. So I guess it is just who we all are. Di

Having been the BIGGEST skeptic of MSD and all other vitamin therapies, I have now chosen to go ahead and give it a try. Why? Well, Tom, when YOU go ahead and recommend it, along with so many other people here, I really can't see a good reason why not.
I even called the number on their website, and got through from all the way over here, got my free samples along with the book and the first jar, and now I'm all wired up and have high hopes that we'll see great changes in Bene as well. I sure hope it takes away some of that stubbornness!!!! Laughing Wink
I guess I ended up concluding that if it's working, then I'd be depriving her of the chance to try. That I cannot live with.
It should take us about 2 weeks to get it, and now "all" I have to go, is to get her Dad to remember to give it to her when she's with him. I'll keep ya'll updated.

PS: The guy taking my order sure struggled with pronouncing my name!!!! Laughing
