Are patients allowed to have a copy of all of their children's medical records for their own records? I wanted a copy of all of the results from the different doctor's Ethan has had to see. I thought it would make it easier when I a)transfer from doctor to doctor and b)when his therapists need to know information. Do I just ask for copies?

Yes you have a right to a copy. I would call in advance to request them and they may charge a small fee.

I requested a copy of Hunters hospital records when he was born so that we would have everything we needed when we went to see a heart Dr.

It could also save time and money to keep from having some of the same test repeated.
